Who is Martha Graham ?

Recognized as one of the greatest artists of the 20th century, Martha Graham created a movement language based upon the expressive capacity of the human body.

The Graham technique has been taught worldwide. Today, it continues to serve as a rich and powerful training and to influence contemporary dance.

"You are unique and if this is not fulfilled, then something has been lost"

What is #GrahamForEurope?

#GrahamForEurope is a European platform and organization dedicated to dancers and others passionate about the Martha Graham technique (โ„ข) . It aims to connect this community and foster collaboration within European countries and with the Martha Graham Center in New York. Through master classes, exchange programs, conferences and other resources, we take the Graham legacy into the future, maintaining the creative process alive and open to new Graham artists.

In the Countries section of this website, you will find a list of all teachers and classes in each country. Our blog will also feature relevant and inspiring content about the technique, the teaching process and Graham-based opportunities.

Who is behind the project?

This project has been initiated in March 2017 by Rafael Molina, a native of France. He studied at the Martha Graham School after receiving a Fulbright scholarship, graduating in 2014 and performed the repertory with Graham 2. Regularly teaching in France and Western Europe, he has also started in 2019 a research project funded by the Centre national de la danse: 'Graham educational practices : collection, analysis and transmission.
