LA DANZATERIA

 La Danzateria est une compagnie de danse contemporaine à Bastia qui promeut les oeuvres de la chorégraphe Laetitia Brighi. Pensée comme un espace de rencontres où l’on fabrique du mouvement et du rêve, elle réunit différents artistes et artisans corses autour de ses créations.

Dans sa démarche artistique et citoyenne, La Danzateria a à coeur de s’ancrer fortement sur le territoire corse tout en s’ouvrant sur l’extérieur.

Création « Martha et ses chats » en partenariat avec Graham For Europe

« Martha et ses chats » est une petite forme de danse contemporaine drôle et ludique adaptée aux jeunes enfants. Elle invite le public à la découverte des émotions primaires et l’initie à la danse moderne et au travail spécifique de la technique Graham.

About sml dance:

sml dance is a dance performance curation agency founded by Patsy Lo. 

Originally from Hong Kong, Patsy worked in marketing for more than 20 years globally. At 48, she left Apple Inc. after working for the American tech giant in various countries to become a full time dance student in Paris, France. She now spends her time between Paris and Shanghai. Continuing her hope to use dance as a vehicle for self discovery,  to bridge between art and commerce, and ultimately to inspire more people to go inside and connect within themselves more.

REBIRTH is about the cyclical nature of life. The constant discovery and re-discovery, about ourselves and about each other. A piece about hope, resilience and re-discovery - even when we find ourselves in sudden and unexpected challenges.  A piece about finding peace in opposition.   

This dance work is being choreographed and will be performed by a group of young contemporary artists who have all the same dance language in heritage: one created by the modern dance pioneer Martha Graham who opened the pathway into self-discovery, into connecting emotion into motion. The Graham artists will use the same physical sources and in-depth discoveries to speak to this time, their time, and develop their own voice forged in the rich history of modern dance that is to be re-discovered and to be born to the instant.
