2019 SUMMER INTENSIVES WITH GRAHAM IN EUROPE

Paris, July 23-25
Steve Rooks, former Principal Dancer with the Martha Graham Dance Company, will teach Graham Technique classes during Summer Dance Days Paris at the Centre International de danse Rick Odums. Steve Rooks danced with the Alvin Ailey Repertory Ensemble, and the Martha Graham Dance Company, where he performed for over a decade. He is currently Chair of Dance and Resident Choreographer at Vassar. Classes will be held from July 23rd to 25th from 4:30 to 6pm.
PARIS, July 3-19
Rafael Molina will teach beginner-intermediate Graham Technique at Studio Harmonic on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays the three first weeks of July. Rafael is the founder of Graham For Europe and has been teaching on a regular basis at Studio Harmonic and Rick Odums School in Paris.

PARIS, July 1-26
Maggie Boogaart will teach Graham Technique during the Summer Intensive of Paris Marais Dance School at the Centre de danse du Marais in Paris. Maggie is a graduate of the Martha Graham School and has been teaching Graham Technique in the Netherlands and in Paris since 1998.

William Crowley will teach Graham Technique during the month of August at the Centre de danse du Marais in Paris : two different levels from Monday to Friday and one class on Saturday. William Crowley, received his MFA in Dance from the University of Michigan and additional training at the Martha Graham School.
SAINTE BAZEILLE, July 11-14
Iris Florentiny, former dancer with the Martha Graham Dance Company, will teach Graham Technique from July 11th to 14th during the Manelogui Summer Stage in Sainte Bazeille.
EYSINES, July 5-6
Laureen Elizabeth, former member of Graham 2 and graduate of the Teacher Training Program of the Martha Graham School, will teach #GRAHAM technique July 5th and 6th in Eysines.
ALIZAY, August 26-30
Amélie Bénard, teacher at the Martha Graham School, will teach a week of Graham for the 10th year in Alizay, Normandy. The intensive includes 6 levels per day and a final showcase.

ROMA, July 23-28
Tecniche Di Danza Moderna International Summer Intensive will take place from July 22nd to July 27th 2018 in Rome. The intensive will include modern dance: Graham Technique and Repertory, Paul Taylor Technique and Repertory along with Caterina Rago’s company repertory/composition. Classes will be taught by former Principal with the Martha Graham Dance Company and artistic director laureate Christine Dakin, former Dancer with the Paul Taylor Dance Company Tisco Graciano and Artistic Director of Tecniche di Danza Moderna Caterina Rago.

At the Alto Jonio Dance Award in Villapiana, Calabria, Graham Technique will be taught by Terese Capucilli and Antonio Fini. Terese Capucilli is a former Principal with the Martha Graham Dance Company and an artistic director laureate. She currently teaches at the Juilliard school in NYC. Antonio Fini is the artistic director of the Italian International Dance Award of New York.
TRAPANI, July 11-13
Giulia D’Antoni, certified teacher by the Martha Graham School in NY, will teach a Graham Technique workshop during the 1st Summer School in Trapani, from the 11th to the 13th of July.

The three day summer intensive has been curated by Eliot Smith Dance, primarily focused on learning the methodology and movement vocabulary that creates the foundation for ESD and all of its repertoire.
Dancers will be led by Eliot Smith and one of ESD's Company Dancers, designed to raise aspirations and offer invaluable experiences and opportunities. Everyday will include Graham-based technique class, repertory and creative.
